For New Girl‘s relationship-centric May 14 finale, who better to cameo as a wedding guest than Taylor Swift (right, with star Zooey Deschanel) — the music megastar who wrote the (song)book on love, break-ups, and everything in between? Swift cameos as a woman named Elaine. Though showrunner Liz Meriwether remains coy about what exactly brings Elaine to the nuptials of Cece (Hannah Simone) and Shivrang (Satya Bhabha), she admits the casting was no coincidence. “I’m a huge fan of hers,” she says. “I was fully geeking out about meeting [Taylor]. I didn’t go to meet her right away because I kind of had to compose myself — there’s a 14-year-old girl inside of me.” Apparently the feeling was mutual, Meriwether recalls: “She was quoting lines to us from the show. It was a really exciting night.”

Star Jake Johnson notes that Swift was “very good,” and jokes that Swift’s triple threat status was “a little bit frustrating. She came in and is really nice. It’s not an easy scene. There were probably 70 extras there — though I’m sure she performs to so much bigger [crowds] than that on a regular basis. She had, like, a little monologue and delivered it perfectly. Liz gave her alternative jokes and lines, she delivered them all perfectly. It was frustrating!”

Meriwether also compliments Swift, saying, “She kind of came and nailed it. We love bringing in guest stars, but we really try to make it feel like they’re part of the show and it’s not just stunt casting.” After Meriwether & Co. have given her punchline shout-outs and featured her song “22″ in previous episodes, this cameo brings the singer-songwriter full circle — with added value for fans of both: ?”She did a little bit of a riff on one of her songs,” previews Meriwether.

Despite his teasing frustrations, Johnson might be the biggest Swift fan of all now. ”The good news,” he says, “Max Greenfield and I have a production company called Jakey J. Maxie G 110 Percent Management. We take 35 percent ’cause we give you 110 percent, and Taylor Swift signed with us, so we’re not sweating it. We got all the money from her music and everything else. I’m not doing any work [now]. I’m not coming back [for season 3]. Like I’m going to stay [and] grind it out on Stage 18 at Fox — no! I’m going to ride Taylor Swift’s coattails to the bank!”

Taylor Swift has reportedly paid $17.75 million in cold hard cash for a stunning beachfront mansion in Rhode Island. The 23-year-old singer was spotted viewing the 16-room property with her mother, Andrea, father, Scott and younger brother Austin.

And after negotiating more than $6million off the original asking price of $24million, the 'Trouble' singer paid for her new investment in a single cash payment. Her new 11,000 sq ft home in the seaside village of Watch Hill, boasts eight bedrooms, 10.5 bathrooms, eight fireplaces, swimming pool, gym and stunning views of the sea and a seven mile stretch of sandy beach. Taylor's latest purchase will add to her ever-growing property portfolio, which also includes a home in Beverly Hills as well as a penthouse and gated mansion in Nashville, where her parents are believed to live.

You might think that looking like Taylor Swift would be quite fun. You could blag your way in to posh clubs, for example, and track down a Harry Styles doppelganger just to send the paparazzi crazy every time you both walked out the front door. However, professional Tay Swizzle lookalike Xenna Kristian has discovered that resembling the US songstress can have it's downsides too - namely getting abuse hurled at you in the street as the ramifications of the 'Haylor' days continue to be felt by some Directioners.

The 19-year-old - who started pretending to be Taylor for an actual job about a year ago - told SWNS that she noticed a change in the reactions of strangers after Harreh and Swizzle's brief fling. "Most people are really nice but in December I suddenly started getting the odd nasty shout from young girls," she said. "At first I was a bit taken aback but then I realised they were shouting things like 'leave Harry alone' or 'Harry is mine'. "My friends found it hilarious that Directioners actually thought I was Taylor Swift and were abusing me."

Like we said, there's some truly crazy people out there. And obviously some slightly short-sighted ones too - because Xenna bears as much resemblence to Taylor as we do to a chocolate biscuit. Don't start getting your knickers in a twist over the possibility of Xenna hunting Harry down and belting out a rendition of 'I Knew You Were Trouble' in an attempt to woo him though, because apparently, he's not her type. "Harry isn't really my type," she said. "He is okay I suppose but I'm into rough and ready guys and he has got a bit of a baby face."

For the first time this year, the Billboard Music Awards will also feature new EDM categories, which will spotlight top electronic dance music artists, albums and songs. Prince is also set to be presented with the Billboard Icon Award during this year's ceremony.

The country singer and Maroon 5 will go head to head for the top artist prize. As well as competing for that prize, Rihanna is nominated for 10 awards in total. Carly Rae Jepsen has nine nominations, including top pop song and top radio song while One Direction, who are due to release their first film soon, are up for eight.

The winners will be announced on Sunday 19 May and will be hosted by comedian and 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan. British artists dominate the top album prize category with Adele, Mumford & Sons and two One Direction albums competing against Taylor Swift's Red album. Calvin Harris, who has broken Official Chart records by having the most top 10 singles from one studio album, will compete with David Guetta, Madonna, Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia for top dance artist.

New categories
There will also be new EDM categories, which will reflect the electronic dance music market, with Harris, deadmau5, Guetta and Skrillex competing in both top EDM artist and top EDM album. Finalists for top EDM song include Baauer's Harlem Shake, Calvin Harris' Feel So Close and Swedish House Mafia's Don't You Worry Child (feat. John Martin), respectively.

Taylor Swift is known for buying properties near her boyfriends' homes. She even went so far as to tell Vanity Fair, "Every time the press thinks I like a guy they say I am buying a house next to them," she said. Recently, Swift was snapped looking at a very fancy new place in Rhode Island which has us wondering who Taylor is eyeing these days.

All jokes aside, Taylor has great taste when it comes to her real estate investments. This home, located in Westerly, RI, is the stuff fantasies are made of. With five bedrooms, more than 11,000 square feet of living space and over 700 feet of waterfront (drool!), we can only imagine the kind of 4th of July party the pop star would host.

The home was last sold in May of 1996 for $3.5 million. Zillow reports that the home was last on the market in 2010 for $24 million -- how's that for appreciation? “Taylor Swift won’t be upstaged by her ex,” begins a piece in Us Weekly, which goes on to say that she recently “put on a ‘stink’” at the Academy of Country Music Awards “when she learned that John Mayer was slated to perform before her.”According to a so-called “source” for the magazine, Swift “said she had to go on earlier than him.”

Swift, in fact, did peform before Mayer, but it had nothing to do with any supposed “stink.”It was scheduled that way by the Academy of Country Music Awards. Regardless, a rep for Swift tells Gossip Cop that the claim about demanding a change in the order of performances is “completely false.”

She's almost as famous for her list of celebrity exes as she is for her music so we found it a tad strange when Taylor Swift  insisted she doesn't go after famous fellas. According to the 22 singer, she's pursued by them! Speaking to The Times Magazine, Taylor said, "It's not like I go for people in the entertainment industry. Those have been the types who have kind of gone for me recently."

Some girls have all the luck! Taylor's past boyfriends have included the very handsome likes of One Direction star Harry Styles, Katy Perry's ex John Mayer, Taylor Lautner and Jake Gyllenhaal. Not a bad line up, eh? The pretty singer is positive that writing songs about her love life hasn't put blokes off, either. "You never know who doesn't ask you out, but I'm not scared of it. Because I know I'm not going to stop writing songs about my life. So if someone's scared of that, then that's not going to work anyway."

One sort-of famous man who won't be dating Taylor anytime soon is Michael J. Fox's son who was warned off the singer in a LOL skit by comedy genius Tina Fey and Amy Poehler at this year's Golden Globes. Hosts Amy and Tina decided to have some tonue-in-cheek fun at the singers expense. "You know what Taylor Swift? Stay away from Michael J. Fox's son!" said Tina. The cameras immediately jumped to Swift who failed to raise a smile. She said in a later interview with Vanity Fair, "There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women." Uh-oh.

Tickets for Swift's Red tour are selling like hot cakes and according to figures the star is outselling former boyfriends like Joe Jonas, John Mayer and even Harry Styles (kind of). The Red tour, which sees Taylor supported by Ed Sheeran, kicked off in the US last month and runs until November. According to Radar Online, who have seen figures from StubHub, Taylor's dates have already outsold the Jonas Brothers Tour 2012/2013 by a staggering 19:1. Taylor is also outselling John Mayer’s comeback gigs on his summer Born and Raised tour by  57:1.

Whilst those figures look impressive Taylor's star power is undeniably bigger than Jonas bros and  John, who has been out of the music scene for awhile. So what about Taylor's most famous ex Harry Styles?

According to the report One Direction's Take Me Home tour has been selling nearly 30 percent more tickets than Swift but as Radar Online point out 1D profits are split five ways between the band members, so technically Taylor is way ahead of Hazza in terms of money. If you combine all the numbers, Taylor is selling double the tickets of her former lovers! In between boosting her bank balance, Taylor has been enjoying some downtime with best buddy Ed on the tour circuit. The pair looked terrified as they posted snaps of themselves on rollercoasters at Disney yesterday. The Love Story superstar gushed about her day off to her twitter followers, posting: "Best day EVER. Disney with my friendssssss!!!"
